Architectural Services Department responds: no abnormalities found in observatory annexe building constructed by contractor involved in ONE STANLEY quality issues

The Architectural Services Department told Ming Pao that no construction quality abnormalities had been found to date in the works for the Hong Kong Observatory headquarters annexe building in Tsim Sha Tsui, constructed by contractor Hoi Yuet Construction Engineering Limited. A detached house at the Stanley luxury development ONE STANLEY was found to have construction quality issues in its floor slab, and the Buildings Department had earlier said it would conduct spot checks on other projects currently handled by the building professionals and contractor involved. Ming Pao's review of records found that Hoi Yuet is currently the contractor for the annexe building works.
