The Abby Choi case resumed at the High Court on the 8th, with her mother Zhang Yanhua continuing to testify and facing cross-examination by defence counsel Anthony Dwyer, discussing the family's financial situation. Documents showed Abby Choi had a total of about HK$5.4 million in DBS Bank and Citibank, and less than HK$1 million in Standard Chartered. The defence said Abby Choi had mortgaged the Manhattan Hill unit twice, while Zhang Yanhua said her daughter's monthly expenses totalled $260,000, that she herself did not spend much but had to support the Kwong family.
