Bar Association seeks judicial review after complaint of professional misconduct against Elsie Leung found not established, hearing on 9 November

The Bar Association's executive committee has filed a judicial review against the Disciplinary Tribunal's ruling that the complaint of professional misconduct against Elsie Leung was not established, seeking to overturn the decision, with the case to be heard on 9 November. Bar Association president Peter Lam said he would not comment on individual cases, stressing that the association would consider the facts of each case and the relevant legal principles, and noting that under the current ordinance the association has no right of appeal, making judicial review the only viable procedure.
