LegCo passes motion supporting five-year plan

The Legislative Council today passed a motion supporting the first five-year plan of the HKSAR and a motion of thanks on the 2026 Policy Address, with Chief Executive John Lee expressing his gratitude. He said the five-year plan proactively aligns with the nation's 15th Five-Year Plan, while the Policy Address is the annual action plan for putting the five-year plan into practice, and the two documents are closely connected. This year's Policy Address is themed "Plan for the Overall Situation with a Long-term Vision, Open a New Chapter through Reform, Advance Development and Create Opportunities, and Benefit Livelihood towards the Future", advancing the first year's work under the five-year blueprint.
