Labour Department imposes administrative sanctions on Ho Chiu Pacific Group, suspending imported labour applications for two years

The Labour Department has imposed administrative sanctions on Ho Chiu Pacific Group Limited, immediately suspending its submitted applications under the "Supplementary Labour Optimisation Scheme" for imported workers, and with effect from today it will refuse to process applications submitted by the company under the optimisation scheme over the following two years. The investigation determined that, during the local open recruitment period for applications to import general clerks and varnishers, the company added recruitment conditions without the Labour Department's consent and refused without reasonable grounds to hire eligible job seekers.
