HKSAR Government strongly condemns biased and false smears in so-called European Parliament report on Hong Kong

The HKSAR Government expressed firm opposition and strong condemnation of the biased and false smears in the Hong Kong-related parts of the European Parliament's "Report on EU-China Political Relations", stressing that the Hong Kong National Security Law and the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance have been implemented fully and accurately. The Government noted that more than six years after the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law, Hong Kong ranked first globally in initial public offering fundraising in 2025, while the overall ranking in the Rule of Law Index 2025 remained high. The authorities urged the European Parliament to immediately stop smearing and slandering Hong Kong and interfering in the city's affairs.
