Department of Justice welcomes Ministry of Justice's issuance of the Measures for the Administration of the Practice Examination and Practice Activities of Lawyers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

The Department of Justice welcomes the Ministry of Justice's issuance of the Measures for the Administration of the Practice Examination and Practice Activities of Lawyers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Measures take effect on October 5, regulating examination registration requirements, procedures for applying to practise and scope of practice, and stipulating that the examination will be held once every two years. The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has amended the Lawyers Law to institutionalise the system, and Secretary for Justice Paul Lam encouraged Hong Kong legal talent to join.
