Woman with delusional disorder admits attacking boyfriend with hiking pole and kitchen knife, sentenced to 3-month hospital order

A 44-year-old woman with a delusional disorder attacked her boyfriend at her residence with a hiking pole and a kitchen knife, leaving him requiring stitches to his head. After admitting one count of wounding with intent, she was sentenced by the West Kowloon Magistracy (acting as the District Court) to a 3-month hospital order. Acting Principal Magistrate Ko Wai-hung said the offence was not premeditated, the injuries were not minor, and the offence was influenced by mental health problems.
