Government Gazette Publishes Three Pieces of Subsidiary Legislation to Implement New Arrangement for Service of Civil and Commercial Judicial Documents Between the Mainland and Hong Kong

The government today published three pieces of subsidiary legislation in the Gazette to implement the Arrangement on Mutual Service of Civil and Commercial Judicial Documents Between the Mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, to take effect on 30 March next year. The Department of Justice and the Supreme People's Court signed the new arrangement on 20 April this year to improve the mutual service mechanism between the two places; the subsidiary legislation will be submitted to the Legislative Council next Wednesday for the negative vetting procedure.
