HKSAR Government Issues Yellow Outbound Travel Alert for France; Immigration Department Has Not Received Requests for Assistance from Hongkongers

In view of the latest demonstrations in France, the HKSAR Government has issued a yellow outbound travel alert for France. The Immigration Department has so far not received any requests for assistance from Hongkongers. The authorities call on Hongkongers planning to travel to or already in France to stay vigilant and avoid crowded places, and to avoid demonstration areas unless necessary. The Immigration Department will continue to maintain contact with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR, Chinese consulates and embassies locally, and the Travel Industry Authority, and monitor developments.
