Financial Secretary Paul Chan: Hong Kong professional services must convert the strengths of mainland enterprises into international competitiveness

Financial Secretary Paul Chan said in a video address at the dinner of the Hong Kong Professional Services Alliance that professional services must play the role of a "super converter", converting the technological and product strengths of mainland enterprises into international competitiveness. He urged the industry to actively participate in the discussion and formulation of international standards, and to enhance the ability to identify and manage risks amid the tide of artificial intelligence, noting that technology cannot assume professional responsibility on their behalf. He also expressed hope that the industry would give young people more experience in cross-disciplinary and cross-regional projects.
