Algernon Yau says multiple measures launched to deepen Hong Kong's foundations as a regional intellectual property trading centre

Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau said this year's Policy Address rolled out trade and economic measures in line with Hong Kong's first five-year plan, including an intellectual property financing sandbox and a patent valuation pilot support scheme, to deepen the foundations of the regional intellectual property trading centre. He noted that in August this year, Hong Kong's overall export value rose 53% year-on-year, marking the 19th consecutive month of double-digit growth.
