Insurance Authority promotes cross-sector collaboration to enhance climate resilience

The Insurance Authority announced the official launch of the 'Climate Insurance Lab', which will help the industry tackle climate risks through shared data infrastructure, regulatory guidance and a 'Product Innovation Platform'. The Insurance Authority hosted a themed event during Hong Kong Green Week, bringing together more than 200 industry leaders, policymakers and academics to explore the integration of insurance into urban planning. The event also presented the key findings of a climate modelling research project led by the Insurance Authority in collaboration with the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
