Rita Fan: 'Two systems' cannot be of no benefit to the nation; Hong Kong's financial sector makes a great contribution to the country

Former NPC Standing Committee member Rita Fan said on an RTHK programme that 'two systems' cannot be of no benefit to the nation, and that Hong Kong makes a great contribution to the country in financial matters. She believes that one country, two systems helps the nation connect with the international community, and is confident that it will not change even after 50 years. She also recalled that the Hetao science and technology centre plan, which former chief executive Tung Chee-hwa had hoped to implement during his tenure, later came to nothing, but is finally being taken forward today.
