Financial Secretary Paul Chan Meets Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Senior Executives of Multinational Financial Institutions in Bangkok

Financial Secretary Paul Chan this morning met Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas in Bangkok, Thailand, to exchange views on strengthening economic, trade and financial co-operation between the two places, and to explore promoting the alignment of local foreign direct investment with Hong Kong's capital market. He also met the chief executive officer and management team of a major French bank to exchange views on areas such as fixed income and currency markets, green and sustainable finance, and tokenised financial products, and invited the Thai side to attend the Asian Financial Forum to be held in Hong Kong in January next year.
