Airport yacht and art facilities to be put out to tender to attract investment; Mable Chan: Returns estimated project by project to minimise investment

Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan said facilities such as the airport's yacht and art venues will be put out to tender to attract market funding, with the Airport Authority estimating commercial returns project by project and minimising its own investment, taking responsibility only for infrastructure provision such as land formation, water, electricity and roads. She also said the government welcomes the early termination agreement reached between New World Development and the Airport Authority, with 11 SKIES to be returned to the Airport Authority for operation on 1 April next year at no cost, while New World will pay about $3.3 billion.
