Abby Choi's Former Driver Testifies: Cash-Strapped in 2022, Once Hid in Car to Avoid Debt Collectors

Abby Choi's former driver testified in court that in 2022, while driving Choi back to a Kowloon Tong detached house, he saw several men loitering and Choi had to hide in the car. He also heard Choi say she needed to collect $600,000 from Kwong Kong-kit, and later drove Kwong to the International Finance Centre in Central to collect an envelope containing $600,000. The driver confirmed Choi had previously carried large amounts of cash and by 2022 had cash-flow problems, once asking him to pay for purchases upfront and repaying him afterwards.
