Advisory Committee on Water Services fully supports building Hong Kong into an international hub for high-quality national water conservancy development under Hong Kong's First Five-Year Plan

The Advisory Committee on Water Services discussed today (9 October) the water services development strategies and measures in Hong Kong's First Five-Year Plan and the Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address, and members expressed unanimous support. The Government plans to build Hong Kong into an international hub for high-quality national water conservancy development, develop advanced standards for water-related affairs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and conduct pilot testing and translational application in Hong Kong. The Water Supplies Department and the Drainage Services Department will co-host the inaugural Hong Kong Water Expo in April next year, providing a high-end exchange platform for the global water services sector.
