Does Hong Kong's Economy Serve the People or Profit?

China has lifted nearly 800 million people out of extreme poverty, yet no mainland Chinese economist has ever won the Nobel Prize in Economics. The United States accounts for 75 per cent of all Nobel economics laureates, but its economy is weighed down by high public debt, persistent fiscal deficits, financial crises and government shutdowns. The article uses this to ask whether Hong Kong's economy serves the people or pursues profit.
