Lo Shuk-pei: Licence application procedures will be streamlined to encourage Hong Kong films to build sets and shoot locally

Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Lo Shuk-pei said that, after obtaining cross-departmental consent, the licence application procedures for film crews would be streamlined, and venues would be identified for rental at lower costs, encouraging Hong Kong films to build sets and shoot on location locally. She also said that when reviewing the Film Development Fund, she hoped the works would have commercial value, so that audiences would spend real money to watch films in cinemas.
