Insurance Authority launches six-week public consultation on subsidiary legislation for risk-based capital regime

The Insurance Authority has launched a six-week public consultation on the draft Insurance (Valuation and Capital) Rules (Cap. 41R) and the draft Insurance (Submission of Returns, Reports and Information) Rules (Cap. 41S), to facilitate the implementation of the risk-based capital regime. Views must be emailed to [email protected] or posted to the Insurance Authority's office on or before 16 January 2024. The Insurance (Amendment) Bill 2023 was passed by the Legislative Council in July this year.
The consultation paper sets out the specific scope of two sets of draft rules and the deadline for submitting views, allowing readers to judge whether they need to respond before the cut-off.
