Minimum wage for foreign domestic workers raised to $5,220 per month; Chris Sun: increase is reasonable and moderate

The government announced that the minimum wage for foreign domestic workers under contracts signed from today will be raised by 2.35%, from $5,100 to $5,220 per month. Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun described the increase as reasonable and moderate, noting that the average annual increase over the past many years ranged from 2% to 2.5%, and that this increase has taken into account employers' income and inflation.
