Is the English name for jade really Fei Cui?

As early as 2009, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government listed under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance at Customs that the trade name for jade should be Fei Cui, a name now recognised internationally. Jade has long been known by the English name Jadeite (hard jade), but modern research has found that its mineral composition is not limited to jadeite, also including kosmochlor and omphacite, among others, so Jadeite alone is no longer sufficient to represent jade.
