LegCo passes motions of thanks on Five-Year Plan and Policy Address

The Legislative Council tonight (9th) passed by secret ballot the motions of thanks on the Five-Year Plan and the Policy Address. The three-day joint debate lasted more than 30 hours in total. Except for LegCo President Maria Lee, all other 88 members raised their hands in favour. Chief Executive John Lee posted on social media more than 10 minutes after the motions were passed to thank the members, saying that the government would analyse and study the matters carefully to ensure the policies are "implemented to the letter", and would continue to work closely with the Legislative Council.
