Chow Hin: Ningde is a place of outstanding talent

In his column, Chow Hin recounts the experiences of Contemporary Amperex Technology founder Zeng Yuqun, saying that Ningde is a place of outstanding talent. Zeng was born in 1968, graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1989, and started his first business in 1999. His company was one of the earliest in the world to solve the swelling problem of polymer lithium batteries and achieve commercialisation, and was later acquired by TDK. He started a second business in 2011, establishing Contemporary Amperex Technology (3750).
