Wang Wentao: Commerce Ministry Supports Hong Kong's Early Accession to RCEP, Promotes New Round of CEPA Upgrading

Commerce Minister Wang Wentao, in a video address to the Hong Kong sub-forum of the 9th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, said the Ministry of Commerce will support Hong Kong's early accession to RCEP and its greater role in international economic and trade co-operation. He said the ministry is working with the SAR government to promote a new round of CEPA upgrading, focusing on services and expanding opening-up to Hong Kong in areas such as finance, shipping and technological innovation. The Ministry of Commerce also supports Hong Kong in accelerating the building of a high value-added supply chain services centre and creating demonstration channels for new business forms such as digital trade, green trade and offshore trade.
