John Lee Meets AIIB President Zou Jiayi at Government House, Welcomes AIIB Hong Kong Office

Chief Executive John Lee today met Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Zou Jiayi at Government House to exchange views on further strengthening regional financial co-operation. Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui also attended. John Lee welcomed the AIIB's upcoming establishment of an office in Hong Kong with dual financing and operational functions, and said the SAR government would fully assist in its establishment and operation. He said Hong Kong, as an AIIB member, could provide flexible funding allocation support for the AIIB's projects such as carbon neutrality and green economic transition.
