John Lee Speaks at Closing Ceremony of 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference, Sets Out Hong Kong's Financial Strengths

Chief Executive John Lee, in a video address at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference, said finance is Hong Kong's foundation and greatest strength, with Hong Kong firmly ranked third globally and first in Asia in the Global Financial Centres Index. He mentioned the Hong Kong First Five-Year Plan published last month and said the Securities and Futures Commission will consult next year on streamlining prospectuses to make it easier for quality overseas enterprises to list and raise funds in Hong Kong.
