The Labour Department has imposed administrative sanctions on Ho Ching Pacific Group, refusing to process the company's foreign worker applications for the next two years, after finding that it had added recruitment conditions without authorisation and unreasonably refused to hire eligible job seekers during local open recruitment for importing general clerks and painters. The department stressed that employers must strictly comply with regulations and give priority to hiring suitable local workers.
