Christopher Hui leads financial sector delegation on visit to Northern Metropolis

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui led a delegation of local financial industry representatives on a visit to the Northern Metropolis, touring the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, Kwu Tung North New Development Area and Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area to learn about the industrial layout and investment and financing opportunities. The Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, together with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, is studying the relaxation of financing arrangements for companies in the parks under the banking sector capital requirements framework, while the insurance industry's risk-based capital regime will also provide capital concessions for infrastructure investments, including those in the Northern Metropolis, from 31 December.
