Legislative Council holds combined debate on Five-Year Plan and Chief Executive's Policy Address Address motion, with only 10-plus members present at one point

The Legislative Council held a combined three-day debate on the government motion on the Five-Year Plan and the motion of thanks on the Policy Address, lasting more than 30 hours in total. House Committee Chairman Chan Chun-ying said 88 members spoke actively, with speaking time totalling 26 hours and 46 minutes. However, during the debate, not many members were seen coming in and out of the chamber, nor were there many media present. Some members joked privately that the media and the public might be more concerned about other issues.
