LegCo debates five-year plan and Policy Address, Christopher Hui: putting the plan into practice is the key to success

The Legislative Council held a joint debate over three days on Hong Kong's five-year plan and the new Policy Address. Chief Secretary Christopher Hui said that implementing the five-year plan is a massive and complex systems project that requires a sound implementation safeguard mechanism, and that putting the plan into practice is the key to success. The five-year plan covers six major areas, including strengthening the four centres, accelerating development of the Northern Metropolis and deepening development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Chief Executive will set out key annual tasks through the Policy Address each year, while the Budget will provide resource support.
