Bay Area Notes: Coincidence ／By Sheung Tung-mei

Sheung Tung-mei points out in her Bay Area Notes that similar stories appearing one after another is no coincidence, but rather a consideration in choosing topics in the journalism profession. Taking the incident of falling windows as an example, the article notes that outsiders feel such things do not normally happen, yet once one occurs it seems windows fall almost every day, while those in the profession understand this is simply the result of topic selection.
