Hong Kong Monetary Authority announces participating banks in intellectual property financing sandbox complete financing approvals for first batch of seven pilot cases

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced that participating banks in the intellectual property financing sandbox have completed financing approvals for seven pilot cases, with loan amounts ranging from HK$1 million to HK$39 million, used for daily operations, business expansion and marketing. The cases cover industries including electronics, construction, toy manufacturing and medical devices; the sandbox was launched in December 2025 by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority together with the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and the Intellectual Property Department, and has received support from the Hong Kong Association of Banks.
