Secretary for Development Chris San Ng: Government Entitled to Collect Premium if Anderson Road First-hand Home Ownership Scheme Project Is Not Completed on Time

Secretary for Development Chris San Ng said the government had already brought prosecutions last year over the rebar issue at CK Asset's (1113) Anderson Road First-hand Home Ownership Scheme project, involving the contractor and professionals, and is now awaiting a hearing date, with the prosecutions still ongoing. He said that if the project fails to be completed on time before the deadline stipulated in the land sale terms, the government is entitled to collect a premium, while contractual issues between the developer and contractor are to be handled by the two parties themselves.
