The LegCo spokesperson strongly opposes comments by the UK Foreign Office Indo-Pacific affairs official on the Alliance case, firmly supports the sentencing by the Court of First Instance of the High Court, and considers that the verdict demonstrates legal justice, while resolutely opposing any foreign forces maliciously smearing the case and seizing the opportunity to interfere in China's internal affairs. The spokesperson reiterated that the Sino-British Joint Declaration does not empower the UK to intervene in Hong Kong affairs after the handover.
