Observatory issues yellow rainstorm warning, cancels it about two hours later

The Observatory issued the yellow rainstorm warning at 8:20pm, and the signal was in force for more than two hours before being cancelled at 10:30pm. An Observatory spokesperson said a few squally thunderstorms were expected that night, with heavy rain at times, and warned that gusts could reach 70km/h (43mph).
