FLMI cheating case: Insurance Authority says policies handled by intermediaries involved are unaffected

The Insurance Authority said policies handled by insurance intermediaries involved in the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) cheating case are unaffected in validity and policyholders' rights and interests. Police busted a criminal syndicate on August 28 this year, arresting 11 syndicate members and 4 candidates. The Kwun Tong examination venue involved was operated by the "Greater China Self-Media Association", with at least 250 people obtaining the FLMI qualification through the venue. The 15 people arrested earlier continue to be released on bail pending further investigation.

保監局指涉案保險中介人處理的保單，效力及保單持有人權益不受影響。警方今年8月28日公布搗破由保險從業員操控、涉嫌協助考生作弊取得「壽險管理師」（FLMI）資格的集團，拘捕11名成員及4名考生，涉案考場營運約一年半，至少250人透過該考場獲取FLMI資格後再考取保險牌照。
