Fraser Institute report: Hong Kong again rated world's freest economy

The Fraser Institute today released the Economic Freedom of the World 2026 Annual Report, in which Hong Kong was again rated the world's freest economy. Among the five major assessment categories, Hong Kong retained first place in international trade freedom and maintained second place globally in regulation. The HKSAR Government said the report affirmed Hong Kong's free market advantages, and that it would enhance the functions of the "four centres and one highland" and accelerate development of the Northern Metropolis.
