Government Announces Central Kowloon Bypass to Open in Full on December 6, With $8 Toll From Same Day

The Government announced that the Central Kowloon Bypass will open in full on December 6, changing from its current free arrangement to a toll of $8 from the same day. The 4.7-kilometre Yau Ma Tei section opened last December, connecting the Yau Ma Tei Interchange in West Kowloon with the Kai Tak Development Area in East Kowloon and the Kowloon Bay road network, while the approximately 3.4-kilometre Kowloon Bay section (including tunnels) is in its final testing stage and will open on that day.
