First residential project in West Kowloon Cultural District to be tendered in first half of next year; Betty Fung expects operating revenue to improve significantly

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority's basic operating deficit for the 2025/26 financial year widened to HK$998 million, up 30 per cent year-on-year. Chief Executive Betty Fung said visitor arrivals exceeded 17 million last year, up 13 per cent year-on-year, while ticket and sponsorship revenue each rose 30 per cent, with operating revenue expected to increase next year. The first residential development in the West Kowloon Zone 2B area will be tendered in the first half of next year, with no inclination to build nano flats.
