Centre for Food Safety Tests 121 Samples of Imported Japanese Aquatic Products, All Radiation Levels Within Limits

The Centre for Food Safety has tested 121 samples of imported Japanese "aquatic products and their products, seaweed and sea salt" from noon on 4 November to noon today, and none were found to have radiation levels exceeding the safety standard. Over the same period, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department tested 50 samples of local fishery products, all of which passed; the Observatory has also stepped up monitoring of environmental radiation levels in Hong Kong waters and has found no abnormalities.
