Hang Seng Index down over 100 points in early afternoon session, tech index falls nearly 2%

Hong Kong shares fell in the early part of the afternoon session. The Hang Seng Index stood at 23,985 earlier, down 145 points, or 0.6%. The tech index stood at 4,122, down 72 points, or 1.72%.
