Central Kowloon Bypass Kowloon Bay section to open on December 6; Route 6 journey from Tseung Kwan O to West Kowloon cut from 65 minutes to 12 minutes

Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan announced that the Kowloon Bay tunnel section of the Central Kowloon Bypass will open on December 6 (Sunday), with Route 6 fully connected at that time, cutting the journey from Tseung Kwan O to West Kowloon from 65 minutes to 12 minutes. Some legislators noted that only a few bus routes have run along the Yau Ma Tei section since it opened last year, and called for the introduction of an all-day bus route and a bus route to and from the airport.
