Kyrgyzstan's Bakai Bank opens Hong Kong branch, first Central Asian bank to do so

Bakai Bank, a Kyrgyz commercial bank, has been approved by regulators to establish a restricted licence bank in Hong Kong, becoming the first Central Asian bank to set up a business presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The branch will operate under the name Bakai Bank Limited, Hong Kong Branch.
