Water Supply to Shau Kei Wan and Some Sai Wan Ho Users Gradually Returns to Normal from 9.30pm
The Water Supplies Department says emergency repair works on a damaged water main on Shau Kei Wan Road are complete, and water supply to users in Shau Kei Wan and some parts of Sai Wan Ho is gradually returning to normal from 9.30pm. It says the actual resumption time is affected by factors including terrain, location, pipe conditions and floor level, and users at the end of the pipe network or at higher elevations may need 3 to 4 hours. The department will continue to provide temporary water supply points and reminds users that water may appear milky white or slightly cloudy in the early stage of resumption.
The Water Supplies Department sets out the timing of the resumption and the affected areas, and says users at high levels or at the end of the pipe network may have to wait 3 to 4 hours longer.
