Mainland insurance funds' participation in ETF Connect launched; Christopher Hui says market response positive

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui said that after the National Financial Regulatory Administration of the mainland gave the green light in August this year for mainland insurance funds to invest in ETFs via the Stock Connect, the measure allowing insurance funds to participate in ETF Connect trading was officially implemented at the end of September. He said the market response had been very positive after the announcement, and there were great expectations for insurance funds to participate in southbound ETF Connect trading.
