Blending science with traditional whisky-making philosophy: an interview with The Balvenie's chief blender Kelsey McKechnie

The Balvenie's chief blender Kelsey McKechnie visited Hong Kong for the first time, sharing her blending philosophy of combining science and tradition. She took up the role of chief blender in October 2022, was appointed apprentice chief blender in 2018 at the age of 26, and learned from David Stewart, an MBE recipient awarded by the Queen. She said the most important lesson was to have patience with the whisky and the oak casks.
