Guangdong Party Secretary Huang Kunming inspects Huanggang Port, says new port opening soon

Guangdong Party Secretary Huang Kunming visited Shenzhen to inspect Huanggang Port and learn about progress on the port's reconstruction and preparations before its opening. He examined inspection and clearance channels, the departure hall and supporting transport connections, noting that the port's implementation of 'inspection and clearance at one location' is a vivid practice of 'one country, two systems'. He urged relevant departments to coordinate with Hong Kong on system testing, emergency drills and staffing to ensure a smooth opening on schedule, and to continue amplifying the advantages of the 'joint inspection, single release' model. He also noted that during the APEC meeting, international guests would be travelling in high numbers, and called for continued optimisation of customs clearance procedures and foreign-related support.
