Government and MTR reach settlement arrangements for High Speed Rail Hong Kong section and Shatin to Central Link works
政府與港鐵公司就廣深港高速鐵路香港段及沙田至中環線工程項目達成解決安排
The Government reached settlement arrangements with MTR Corporation on 2 October regarding the High Speed Rail Hong Kong section and the Shatin to Central Link works. MTR must pay HK$2.25 billion for delays during the construction phase of the High Speed Rail Hong Kong section, while both parties agreed not to pursue claims against each other over the Shatin to Central Link, for which MTR had already borne about HK$2.8 billion in additional expenditure. The Transport and Logistics Bureau said enhanced works governance mechanisms had been applied to new railway projects.
